Stage Matters
Firefly & Theater Communications Group collaborated to make STAGE MATTERS, a short documentary on why/how/if theater matters in America. Exploring theater's recent and varied impact in the US and the challenges it faces in the 21st Century, STAGE MATTERS premiered at the 2010 TCG National Conference in Chicago and is distributed online and via TCG's 700+ member organizations. STAGE MATTERS is directed by J. Clay Tweel, produced by Steven Klein and Ryan Johnston, written by Steven Klein, edited by J. Clay Tweel and Tova Goodman, and associate produced by Natalia Duncan.
In addition, while making STAGE MATTERS, the Firefly team was inspired to create THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF THEATRE, ABRIDGED, a comedic, 5-minute animated film starring the voice of Tony-nominee James Gammon. Watch THE COMPLETE HISTORY... here.
